time, you most likely will, same as everyone else has.”
“I’m not sure what you’re driving at, Shadoe. Care to
explain it to me,” she asked, clearly annoyed by his flippant assumption.
He’d opened his mouth and spoken without thinking—a bad
habit he’d picked up since going back to Hawaii. Ever since they’d met, he’d
been unnerved and more than a little out-of sorts in his universe. She made him
believe in things he’d thought he never would again.
