Are You Sexy?

This week’s theme "Are You Sexy" is about those characters who are sexy yet very comfortable about it comes from The Queen, a paranormal story set on The Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach, California.  I stayed aboard this lady for a writer's conference and fell in love with her beauty; I even had my own "experience" in the lobby one day. This story is inspired by all those who still sail the seas aboard the RMS Queen Mary.

“Dr. Masterson, please!” Hanna pleaded once more, relieved when he turned in her direction. At least they’d established communication of a sort but he still didn’t see her. She could tell by the way his eyes darted back and forth searching in the dim light of the room for her. His simple response edged with questions, made her heart flutter with heat. His voice the same familiar sexy tone, thick and rich like honey even though his body looked different. Fascinated, she looked him over carefully, his new honey tanned skin more of a light caramel than the ebony she remembered it being when he’d left the ship to go on leave. His eyes remained the same, though a deep chocolate brown that lit the room sent shivers through her soul.
His movements through the ward were also reminiscent of Bill’s easy lumber. How could it be that Bill and this stranger are one? The man’s slow, easy approach as he took every nuance into consideration was identical to Bill’s caring manner.
I don’t understand why he didn’t say hello to the soldier who smiled up at him and said “Evening, Doc.” Surely he saw, if not heard the poor man. He looked right through him as if he wasn’t there. It was painful to see that he was unaware of the greetings of the wounded soldiers all around her. Soldiers he couldn’t see.
She came up behind him and reached for him, longing to feel the warmth of him on her fingertips again, and gasped when a barrier stopped her short. But why? She wanted to cry to the fates. Because you’re on different planes. Then while she stood there blinking back tears Bill backed away grumbling as he toyed with some black box-like thing. Pay attention to me she wanted to wail.
Glaring at the small black box in his hand her eyes widened when he brought the device closer to his mouth and spoke. “Hello, my name is Cole. I won’t hurt you.” At last, a way to make him hear her. She could have danced a jig if she wasn’t so carried away by his honey sweet tones. His words, dripping sweet and sticky, fueled her memories of the way Bill would talk to her, all slow and sweet. Carrying a hint of a night filled with passion. It made her want to kiss him…if only she could. And what’s this about him calling himself Cole? Then it all came to her— Cole was the vessel and Bill was inside him. That had to be it, much as she rejected spiritualism in her day.
“Cole?” She circled her fiancĂ©, appraising him from head to toe. “Bill is in there—I know it!” Other than his eyes, nothing about this man on the outside indicated Bill Masterson. Where Bill was tall and lanky, this Cole was broad shouldered and muscular. His arms hard and ready for heavy lifting, while Bill’s were made to take care of people. But all that didn’t matter. Bill’s spirit survived inside Cole. She sensed it deep inside the man from the start.
There was only one way to test her theory but was she brave enough? Goodness yes! He was worth risking her heart and her virtue. Somehow she’d have to get him into bed. Once they made love he’d remember her. She didn’t know how she knew, but she did. Make him remember the summer they’d spent healing the sick and wounded was the only way to pass them both on to eternity together. . . .

This week’s theme is A Long Sexy Time and it’s all about those who have loved another for a long time.

A long-lost aunt, two loving ghosts, two people looking for answers, the Civil War and a family legacy all with BLOOD TIES.

Genre  Historical Time Travel

Emma believes it to be the storm, Mother Nature, which played tricks with her eyes. Not a devilishly handsome rogue like me, Samuel remarked, slipping through Emma as she put new sheets on the old mattress.
Stop with this nonsense, Samuel, Josie threw back at him, avoiding his reach. We’ve got to get this plan moving forward tonight. You saw the way they were up here, kissing one another like they’d been courting for years.
I know. How’d he get to be so lucky? It took going to war before I got to hold you that close, Samuel thought, jealousy edging his words. Of course, we both know that you had something to do with their kiss. After all, you put the idea into her head. You and your silly romantic notions, Samuel continued, turning an amount of the blame toward Josie.
Oh, I see. You had nothing whatsoever to do with Royal’s reaction? It’s always the silly romantic notions of a woman to be blamed. Did you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe, he wanted to kiss her? No, of course not. The thought never even popped into your totally closed male mind, Josie scolded him.

I’ll tell you right now, Mrs. Kinsman. Royal wanted far more than just a mere kiss. He wanted what every living, breathing man wants—a warm female body! Samuel shot back. And you can’t tell me that Emma didn’t want the same thing. Even before you put the idea into her mind, it was written all over her like ink on a newspaper.

Maybe so, but I’ll tell you one thing right now, Josie thought with tenderness and wanting of her husband in her unheard voice. It’s exactly the same way I felt when I first laid eyes on you that day you came up the walk with Papa. It’s that same passion and desire that’s gotten this family into such dire straights over the years trying to capture our legendary craving for each other. One that’s driven our little Royal into not giving in to love and what it’s really all about, caring for another person with undying emotion.

Oh, Josie, Samuel responded, taking his loving wife into his arms. We’ve got our work cut out for us, then. So let’s get the wheels of fate turning and bring these two together to start a legacy of their own.

My Sexy Saturday

“Thou art wrong. Black magic brought me here; it can return me in like.” He turned into the warmth of Courtney’s arms, knowing in his mind she may be right, even if his heart denied it. Only evil could send him back—the kind of evil that didn’t exist in her world. He pulled her closer to him, inhaling her very essence. The vanilla scent of her hair mingled with the lavender of her skin, awakened a wild desire.
Lifting her chin with a forefinger, he wiped away a small tear in the corner of her loving eyes. Her soft, pink lips swelled with a need for him to take them with his own. The tip of her pink tongue quickly snaked out, taunting him. He claimed the invitation her mouth sent.
She tasted of meat and potatoes. He groaned, wanting to devour every morsel of her as he had the dinner she’d prepared for him. He felt her breasts swell into him, begging him to touch them. He was being led into a dance of seduction that he easily took part in.
He pressed her to him, his hardness feverish against the softness of her belly. His mouth continued to explore her lips, licking and sucking with delirious tenderness and urgency. Lifting her, he pressed her back against the wall, her womanhood hard against his groin.
As they moaned softly into each other, Courtney wrapped her legs around his hips. A surge of heat blasting its way through him, he pressed closer into her. As close as their clothing allowed. As close as his dwindling resistance would allow.
Nay, I cannot allow this to happen. I cannot take this lady as if she were some wench seeking a tumble for the night. I have come to care too deeply for her too quickly.
“Good God, woman.” His breath coming hard and fast, Reynold held her against the wall, afraid to move another inch. “Thou hast bewitched me,” he whispered, kissing her deeply once more before slowly leaving the warmth the circle of her hips promised him. He held her as she slid down the wall, her feet padding lightly on the wooden floor, the light of lust leaving its shadow in her eyes.

BY THE BLUE MOON, Book 1, Blue Moon Magic Series

Here's a sneak peek at By the Blue Moon, a werewolf erotic romance inspired by the legend of the Beast of Bray Road in the Kettle Moraine Forest located in Wisconsin.

One father.
One mother.
Four siblings.
One incredible story about that special night that changes them all ... Forever.

~~ Live your life only By the Blue Moon ~~

Chastity Lynne Langford is turning 34 and she can’t understand her sudden fascination with sex. Justin Matthews has been promised the eldest daughter of the Elite clan…a clan of superior werewolves who are more human than werewolf. The rite of passage would soon take place where Justin would claim his life mate, or die trying to protect her...By the Blue Moon.

~~ Excerpt ~~

The piece of artwork symbolized everything the wolfen clan had become. It represented both their future and their past; humans with the heart of the wolf and wolves with the body of a human. When the two became one, magic occurred, but only during the mating ritual on the night of the blue moon.

He ran his fingertips lightly along her arms until his hands covered her delicate ones. The growth of need between his legs reminded him of the power she had over him. His cock needed her wrapped around him; to have her open up and pull him deep inside her body. He could feel her juices cover him like the coating on a chocolate-covered cherry.

He pulled her close to him, her ass bumping against his throbbing crotch. If only the night of passage were now and not weeks away, he could end the pain in his groin.

“I knew you’d be here,” he whispered in her ear then backed away as she came out of her trance-like state.

She turned to look at him. Her yellow-green eyes reflecting the she-wolf passion growing inside of her. Her time drew nearer. He had to keep her close to him from here on in. The first time her wolfen-self took hold would be painful, much like a virgin losing her cherry. Quick sharpness followed by pleasure meant only for the male wolfen claiming her.

“Justin?” His name a mere whisper of breath off her lips. If she knew what was in store for her, for them, she might not want the answers to so many questions in her eyes.

He placed himself between her and the painting. Taking her hands in his own, he feather kissed the center of her palms. A shiver passed through her, onto his tongue, causing him to break the connection. It was getting too close for such games for him to take any chances; instead, he guided her around to the front of the desk.

“Beautiful, isn’t it? The artist caught the very essence of the Night of the Blue Moon.” He pulled her further from the watercolor, hoping the distance enough to allow a clean break from its allure.

Justin backed her into one of her father’s burgundy wing-backed chairs until she sat snuggly in the leather. She peeked around his shoulder, pulling her hand from his. The disconnection left an unsatisfied need in his heart. He was head over heels and no one, not even rescuing Lucas, would stand in his way of making her his own. No other female, human or wolfen, would be able to satisfy the ache in his body.

Justin reached out and pulled open the window blinds, allowing the morning sun to fill the room with light. As the rays filtered through the window, they fell upon the painting, washing away the sexual magnetism that had captured Chastity. If it wasn’t for the coming of the blue moon, she probably would have gone on without giving the canvas a second thought. Her heightened sexual awareness made her vulnerable to its magic; and for an untried wolfen, that only spelled disaster.

Nashville by Morning

Excerpt

Heather stood in the shadows, looking out at the clear sky and full moon. She wanted to blend into the darkness. She couldn’t bring herself to turn and face Frank. It was impossible to melt away.

“Excuse me, Miss, but are you all right?”

The voice, much deeper with a pure southern accent edged with a soft, masculine ring to it, wasn’t Frank’s.

“Miss, are you okay?”

She turned and gazed into a pair of concerned chocolate-brown eyes. “Yes,” she replied in a trembling small voice.

Frank walked out onto the balcony toward her. The three of them stood in the moonlight, looking at each other, not knowing whether to speak. Finally, the stranger broke the deafening silence.

“Frank, I was looking for you. My drummer, Jordan, can’t make it tonight, which leaves me at a great loss. When I saw you dancing, I was hoping you’d be able to fill in for him. But I can see you have other plans, so I’ll try to find someone else. It was nice seeing you again.” The man turned to leave.

“Wait a minute.” Frank turned away from Heather. “You want me to sit in with your band?” The surprise in his voice expressed visible waves of shock flowing through his body.

“Yeah. If I didn’t think you could handle it, I wouldn’t have asked ya.”

“How soon do you need me?”

“In about half an hour. You’ll do it?”

“You bet! Just give me a few minutes here, and I’ll be right there.”

“Okay. And Frank, thanks.” With appreciation showing in his eyes, the man left Heather and Frank on the balcony.

“Heather.”

He lightly touched her shoulder, and she whirled toward him, tears threatening to fall down her cheeks. “Frank, don’t.”

As she stood with her back against the railing, the moonlight showed the sorrow and pain on his face. He reminded her of a little boy who’d done something very wrong but didn’t realize it until it was too late.

“Heather, please listen. I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking when I…well, you know.” With renewed humiliation, he looked away.

In an attempt to ease his embarrassment as well as her own, she walked over to him. “There was a time in my life when I fell deeply and totally in love. The love was never returned. At least…not the way I wanted and needed it then. Anyway, after the relationship had gone on for two years, I found out he was married.” Heather turned away. She just couldn’t bear for him to see the shame and grief ripping at her heart once again. “I made a promise to never let a man get that close again…physically or emotionally.”
